This week, in conjunction with May's Featured Gallery, Art Of The Day looks at Doll Art.
"She's mine. All mine. I want her, I need her". He held her so tight But forgot to feed her.
"She's mine, all mine. I must keep her for me". He petted her softly And twisted her knee.
"She's mine, all mine. I never will share". He clung to her tightly And pulled out her hair.
"She's mine, all mine. I own her, not you". Now the poor little darling Is all battered and blue.
"She's mine, all mine. I'll never let go". But the baby's now broken. She never said no.
She loved him, adored him With all of her soul. Took whatever he gave her Helped make him whole.
"I don't want her. She bores me. She's tattered and torn". He walks on without her. He won't even mourn.
But the poor little sweetheart Left behind, all alone Reaches deep in her heart For the strength to go on.
Deep inside of herself She finds a true friend. Though her heart is in pieces With time it will mend.
Though she's damaged and bruised She's learned how to see. Found a door to the magic And her soul is set free.
