Find Your Wild Man

- by Søren Mason Temple

This week's theme: Doll Art

Dolls are not just children's playthings. They find their way into many aspects of our life. We use them in religious rituals, for decoration, as totems and to personify aspects of our psyche and the natural world.

They can be realistic or abstractly representational but whatever form they take, we continue to create them for all of these reasons and more.

This is the Green Man, reminding men to be free, wild and nature-loving. One of the earliest dolls I made. Pattern by Li Hertzi.
