My Little Hero

- by KiniArt

This week's theme: Digital Art

To quote Wikipedia, "Digital art is an artistic work or practice that uses digital technology as an essential part of the creative or presentation process. ... More generally the term digital artist is used to describe an artist who makes use of digital technologies in the production of art." Digitally produced art is so diverse that the possibilities it provides are limitless. We at EBSQ know there is no way seven pieces of art can represent the scope of this media, but we hope our selections will inspire someone - or two - to explore the wide variety of art being created digitally.

Art: My Little Hero by Artist KiniArt
Created in India ink and digitally painted for EBSQ's 14th Annual RIPPED OFF art show, this is my rip of Cary Dunlap Daly's piece "My Hero". I converted the boy from Cary's painting into a composite of my most favorite memories of my son, Mikey, when he was 4-5 years old, (The Simpsons, Ninja Turtles, and his little legs sprouting out from his cowboy boots).  I also changed out the teddy bear damsel with our old family dog from the same time.
