Sunflower Ladybug Vignette

- by Pamela K Wilhelm

This week's theme: Helianthus

They are named for the sun. Their symmetry is based on Fibonacci numbers. They are native to the Americas, but have traveled widely and have captured the eyes and imagination of people all over the world.

Wet-formed veg-tan leather mask in gloss black.

Feline entity with big alien eyes and jagged leafy ears. A true nocturnal denizen, perhaps a hybrid of branch and beast conjured by an ancient witch to be her faithful familiar.

Eyes are large, angled and exaggeratedly cat like...perfect to showcase one's dramatic makeup artistry.

Face is 5/6 oz leather, coated on the inside with non-toxic fabric paint prior to molding and lightly sanded when dry to ensure a satin smooth interior for absolute comfort.

Hand stitched and gathered ears. Formed into shape and appliqued onto mask.

Sturdy elastic ties. May be secured with single overhand knot and bow, gently tugged to set bow in place of best fit, then you can remove and replace the mask without having to re-tie the bow.

Mask is unisex as displayed in photos.

Available in my etsy shop.
