Riding the waves on a boogie board is a popular pastime at the beach. You can hardly walk down the shore without one or two children jumping in front of you to skid across the water in delight.

While walking along the shore at Gulf Shores Alabama, I spotted this young man taking a break from the activities looking wistfully out across the ocean. I just couldn't resist painting him.
