Kitty & Pickleman

- by Lori Rase Hall

This week's theme: Cats

Cats are domesticated animals but we did not domesticate them. They came for the mice and rats. From our granaries and barns, they moved into our homes. We did nothing to alter their behavior, nor did we assign them jobs. Cats became a part of our lives on their own terms. We are fascinated by their air of mystery. We are drawn to the fact that a house cat is as much a cat as a Tiger. They amuse us, they annoy us and they comfort us. They are our cats.
