Happy Birthday Kitty Vase (sold)

Yesterday a friend of mine had a birthday party. There was a piñata, a bouncy house and of course, cake. That young man's birthday inspired this week's Art Of The Day theme. Since we cannot commemorate everyone's birthday, please consider this our belated/early birthday greeting to you.

I loved this piece! The kitty was from a funky mug, but the expression on his face says it all. It sold on eBay. My mother has a similar piece made from the back of the same mug. I like the black-and-white Meakin Sterling Renaissance china with the purple grout (see the Greek God tables for more proof of that!)
