Out Back

- by Leea Baltes

This week's theme: Back

back /bak/

  • noun - the rear surface of the human body from the shoulders to the hips.
  • adverb - expressing a return to an earlier or normal condition.
  • verb - cover the back of (an object) in order to support, protect, or decorate it.
  • adjective - of or at the back of something.

"Back" is a word that can fill many grammatical functions. This week, EBSQ's Art of the Day presents art that illustrate a few of the ways the word "back" can be used in the English language.

A window on a very old house. It would be so nice to peek inside the window and see life as it was many years ago... or be inside and look out to see the world as it once was.
