Rockies: Moose

- by Dawn Lee Thompson

This week's theme: Animal and Wildlife

EBSQ has a wide variety of galleries, filled with a diverse assortment of art. Over the upcoming months, Art Of The Day will be featuring explorations of the EBSQ Galleries that will be more in-depth than one short week can provide.

This is the first week of a two week look that Art Of The Day is taking at the Animal and Wildlife gallery.

Art: Rockies: Moose by Artist Dawn Lee Thompson
This majestic moose is cooling off in a mountain stream, with a panoramic background of foothills and mountains. A perfect gift for big game hunters, wildlife enthusiasts or any hard to buy for person. Ideal for Father's Day! This stained glass panel is a one of a kind, original work of art, lovingly crafted from the initial design phase to the final waxing by a single skilled Iowa artisan. This is not a mass produced and sloppily crafted import or a design copied from a pattern book like much of the glass sold on eBay. Note the carefully selected opalescent art glass in complimentary shades of blue, green, amber and brown. Each piece was hand cut, ground, leaded, soldered, puttied and waxed to create an enduring work of art that will grace your home for generations. The piece is framed in zinc came and has zinc hooks pre-attached for immediate hanging. Each of my pieces is hand signed, (etched unobtrusively into the glass), and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Thanks for looking, and please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about this, or other pieces.
