Falling Down the Rabbit Hole

- by Robert Thomas Robie

This week's theme: Alice's Adventures

Whether they start down a rabbit hole or through a looking glass, Alice's adventures have captured the imaginations of both children and adults for 150 years. The artists at EBSQ are no different and this week Art of the Day presents art inspired by "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" and "Through the Looking-Glass,and What Alice Found There".

Art: Falling Down the Rabbit Hole by Artist Robert Thomas Robie
This scene shows Alice falling, while looking at the jelly jar. The art on the wall was an opportunity for me to honor the influence of Dali in my artwork.

This piece is on Ampersand Clayboard in airbrushed acrylic, color pencil and ink. The hole itself is acrylic that has been scratched with steel wool creating the unique texture.
