Rabbit's Den

This week's theme: A Pop of Colour

A bright splash of colour amidst a monochrome palette can be jarring almost to the point of being uncomfortable. It's a four year old child running through a quiet house laughing and hollering. It's jolting to be sure, but the contrast only serves to accent the joy and the beauty in both.

Somewhere hidden in the snowy hillside is a rabbit safe in his den. The snow on the trees was like a lacey drift of magic. When I walk and crunch my boots against the crusty snow, I imagine he is here, somewhere hiding beneath my feet, under a tree stub, maybe right in front of me covered in white.
