
While working on this piece, I was giving special attention to try to make each mask look unique, as each person's face is unique. As I moved to each face, I saw the parallel with reality - that each person whether they mean to or not, wears some sort of a mask - an invisible mask that isn't as recognizable as a Mardi Gras masks. I almost titled this piece "The Masks We Wear".
Done on 24" x 24" size canvas with 1.5" deep sides.
