There is nothing like the sight of long icicles overhanging roofs and blocking doorways that spells Winter in no uncertain terms. These icicles are a reminder of the winter that walls of huge glistening "bars" signified "jail" to me, as it was impossible to exit the house until they were removed.
I photographed them for keep sake, the original of which is found below, and worked on them in Studio Artist and Photoshop to heighten the cold and isolating look of Winter. I flipped the image in SA and tweaked the color in PS along with minor filter addition to bring out the edges and wet effect of the icicles to create this overall abstract.
