I took this photograph from the Hudson Valley Raptor Center in Upstate NY. This Eagle Owl is an amazing raptor which is the largest of the owls. I volunteer there and when I sell work taken from there I donate half the proceeds. All the raptors there are brought to the center. Some are injured and rehabilitated back to the wild and some can not be released back due to the nature of their injury. This image was taken with a Nikon D70 SLR with a Telephoto lens 30mm-70mm This is my favorite image of this Owl..the colors always struck me and I love her eyes.
