In March, the end of the long cold and dark winter, nature wakes up, the colors return to give life to the countryside and the woods. Walking in the landscape of my home, I like to stop to admire these color patches that are in front of me, the lawn, just washed by a fresh and pleasant drizzle, everything already mottled yellow of the wild flowers, the trees in the background green, no longer the dark forest but rich in colors and sounds.The title of this painting comes from a song by a great Italian singer Lucio Battisti, entitled precisely “The March gardens”.
Lyrics:
"... I giardini di marzo si vestono di nuovi colori
e le giovani donne in quel mese vivono nuovi amori
camminavi al mio fianco ad un tratto dicesti: "tu muori"
Se mi aiuti son certa che io ne verro fuori!
Ma non una parola chiarì i miei pensieri
continuai a camminare lasciandoti attrice di ieri..."
