SOLD - In the 1970's I was fortunate to purchase a Kurt Larish piece in Mexico City. To me an incredible artist. Simple geometric background supporting iconic humans - always with a clear story and meaning. I decided to do in my own style the same type of artwork. I have not sold this original piece because it is very special to me. It took several weeks to complete and has layers of attempts to make the story and statement simple and clear.
In this piece I imagined daily life - and a means of expressing the nature of it for so many of us. What came to be the image I held was mining - deep - somewhere - following orders in our search for something. Something important and valuable. That something so often requiring so much work; and what you find, you find in its rawest form, needing refining somewhere else to become valuable to others.
