This is from a rather large series called "Subterragraphics". The images in the series are from actual pieces of earth cored for geological analysis, the images are macro photography under an ultraviolet light source. The colors in the images have been either enhanced or manipulated in order to capture the beauty of the rock/earth. The gold, yellow and blue tones are actually oil deposits. Sometimes under macro, things are seen in the rock samples that look alot like things seen in everyday life.
