This is a Pacific reef scene from Ryuku, near the coast of Japan. The fish include a pair of Copper-banded butterflyfish, some Weber's chromis, a black-velvet angelfish, two-lined spinecheeks and an oval spot butterflyfish.
The original incarnation of this picture only had the purple sea fan and maroon sea whips in the background, but that seemed too sparse. So I added the blue staghorn coral and the orange sponges. I think that helped the composition look more complex with greater depth.
