Being a recent college graduate, the jumbled juxtaposition of childhood items and money
is personally symbolic of the rite of passage from the carefree days of toys and games to the need to "grow up" and be a self-sufficient, self-supporting adult, and the conflict is in how to find that balance between keeping one's playful creativity while also adapting responsibly to the world of mortgages and car payments. The items are all thrown together to evoke a sense of non-attachment to materiality and order and perhaps an affinity for the opposite.
