I have not been able to escape this idea of mermaids and their relationship to other sea creatures. I'm sure they must be both predator & prey in their oceanic home. Octopus (Bathypelagic zone dweller) are reknown for their ravenous appetites, which leaves little outside of their diet. This painting was done with acrylic, and liquid metals, along with a soft charcoal pencil brought in at the end. I love the way charcoal looks, especially layered on top of acrylic. SOLD
