This miniature painting is a self portrait from behind. The meaning behind the image is that I got this tattoo after life gave me some bumps and bruises. I needed to rise above. Many nights I prayed to God that he could give me wings, so maybe I could actually get above it all and see the big picture. I saw what I needed to see, and I got my wings . This mini painting won the 2005 Garden Gallery Award at the April 2005 Juried Art Show sponsered by the Fine Arts League of Cary North Carolina. See details for original photo....
