This painting derives its essence from the cubist master Picasso. It reveals abstract human forms enveloped in color which stylistically is similar to Picasso's. However, this piece is entirely my creation. The second picture is an example of Picasso's work. As you can see there are some similarities of subject matter (human form) and line and color accents. When I paint cubist forms I feel a freedom I cannot experience when I paint realistically. What I love about Picasso and what I enjoy about painting this way is the expressive abilitites of the method--the freedom to explore your own visions of people and places.
