Number 5 in my Western Treasures series, Narrow Escape stars two very athletic antelope ground squirrells eluding a hungry bull snake among the partially unearthed relics of a vanquished culture.
Leaping for safty, this little squirrell passes an ancient treasure trove being slowly uncovered by wind and rain. Hand carved stone totems, a stone horse-head pipe, arrow-heads, and turquois beads spill from the crumbling edges of the long lost and forgotten pottery jar.
This native wildlife artwork is an original oil painting on genuine linen canvas. The painting is signed and dated on the front and also, titled, signed, and dated on the back. .
