This is my second entry in the 2008 Ripped Off show. It's a rop of J. Michael McCrackens "Ganymede". I chose this piece for the classical theme and the pose of the figure. I went back and used the original stock photo from Felix D'eon http://felixdeon.deviantart.com/art/Ganymede-63461605 and then created my own version of the painting. Ganymede was a Trojan, and very handsome. He was kidnapped by Zeus and taken to Mount Olympus to be his lover and cupbearer.
