This piece was created specifically for theEBSQ 4th annual "Ripped Off" show. It is a rip of Jeanette Coltharp's "Blaze." Jeanette's piece intrigued me greatly by it's movement, and intensity. The amazing part is that Jeanettes piece was comprised solely of small bits of paper, cut to squares. The challenge was to keep the intensity while creating a more flowing look. To keep the appeal of the almost mathematical structure, in a form that is inherently more sublte and "smooshy."
