This piece was created for the EBSQ Rip Off show of 2004. It is based on the Gargoyle Tile by Andree Chenier. The challenge for me, was creating a 2D artwork from a 3D artwork.
I did this work using Photoshop Elements. First, I created the Gargoyle. I drew ghost lines using a green, half transparent brush, then I added blue, ink like lines using another brush. I filled the face of the Gargoyle with a picture of a wall, and used a gradient map to reach the exact effect I wanted. For the frosted background, I used a picture of leafs, with a Chroma filter and filled it with blue-gray color using colored fill.
