A rip of Andrea Mattison's "Spark." This one was a particularily challenging rip for me. I literally stared at the canvas for hours trying to decide how to approach it. Afterall, not only am I doing a rip of a sculptural piece, but an abstract one at that. So it became about the colours and the movement for me. About the interaction of the form and chaos. This piece, once i finally figured out how to approach it, quickly became one of the ones I most enjoyed painting.
