My #10 Rhino is the image borrowed from the SavingRhinos.org website. I began posting these 31 days of rhinos last March to raise awareness of the crisis rhinos are facing.
To further explain, my studio is called Smelly Rhino Studio, and I love Rhinos and humor, but this is no laughing matter. With only a handful left in the world, poachers are still trying daily to mutilate and murder them in order to cut off the horns for people in the middle east and china...People who mistakenly believe they will provide some medicinal or sexual benefit. RHINO HORNS are not medicine! Please help raise awareness and take a look at savingrhinos.org to support the cause!
My 31 Days of Rhinos is a journey into the history of art on our planet, with a different genre, technique or exercise demonstrated in each Rhino, it's a fun way to learn about art and also a reminder of it's important place in human history and in every civilization since the beginning of time. So far, there are 16 Rhinos in my series. I hope you will stop by my blog beginning March 17 to view the daily progress as I finish up the 31 days of rhinos!
