The body took shape from an old pair of tin snips and a hanging garage light, I even found a vintage bulg to put back into the light. This where the typewriter comes in, I imagined the black keys could be used to represent the ruffled feathers and fill out the crow. The left wing is where another major portion of the typewriter ended up. Using the actual letter arms/strikers I formed the ribs of the wing then by layering and welding old spoon handles to that I created the effect of feathers running down the wing. Finding a piece of driftwood was the solution for the right wing being the exact shape and size I needed I knew exactly what it was to be. All the rest is peced together from various parts of that same old typewriter. I think Abraham would be proud.
