I asked Miss Kalea, perhaps a little too close to her 8th birthday, to make me a picture... anything she wanted. What I meant was she could do anything she wanted using anything she wanted... then I waited with anticipation as I know how creative this child can be. She has been raiding my art supplies on every visit, asking to paint, to use this or that since she was wee little.

I was very surprised when she mailed me this sketch of a cell phone. Oh, how am I supposed to to reinterpret that? Why a cell phone, when she could do anything she wanted? Click! I started to laugh. Anything she wanted, huh?

Well, she is just going to have to talk to her mama, who lives with my daughter, about getting her own cell phone as I reinterpreted her HINT as her birthday WISH.
