This painting was done completely Plein Air - painted entirely outdoors by our back garden.  This is an old peach tree with a wind chime hanging from it.  A grape arbor and raspberry bushes are in the background.  Pink climbing roses prove a back drop on the high fence behind the grape arbor.

I have been painting plein air a lot lately.  This one was an experiment using watercolor canvas.  I was not overly pleased as I found it received the watercolors very differently than quality watercolor paper I am used to painting on.

It was windy and the light changed quickly.  But on the good side, it was delightful to be outdoors hearing the birds sing, hearing the wind chimes on the tree and seeing the sunbeams dancing on the leaves, grasses and fence boards.
