In the hills of Brown County Indiana, known for its rolling landscape and rural lifestyle, scenes like this are not uncommon. What appears as an old barn in this scene is a little different. It has had transformations over time, as a place for storage, to an artist office, studiio and gallery visited by people from miles around, to its current stature as a museum and State historic site. In the summer of 2005 I created this plein air painting after seeing the wonderful impressionist paintings inside these walls, and is one of the paintings I am shown doing on my profile page.
