Now that summer has arrived in Quincy, Massachusetts, I've been spending a lot of time out on my deck. There, I noticed that some beautiful rhododendrons were spilling over the side of the fence just above the parking lot of my condo building. So, for the first time ever, I brought all my supplies outside and tried to paint what I saw.
This artist trading card consists of bead-embroidered rhododendrons that were stitched onto painted canvas paper. The finished piece was then mounted onto mat board. I used fuschia Japanese size 15 glass seed beads for the flowers.
This beaded art card is signed & dated, and all artist information is hand-written on the back to provide authenticity.
This piece is currently part of a private collection.
