This painting is of a closeup view of the blossom trees that grow on my childhood home in Linwood, Michigan. As a child, these were my most intense fascination. I wanted to capture the focus of detail on the flowers with the background blurred in your back vision. This piece was painted in 2005 with acrylics on gallery wrapped canvas using only 3 colors of paint. It was a study to experience how to express a picture with only a few paint color choices.
