I have a fear of height along with a longing for being up high. In 2005 I went to NY on a business trip and at midnight I took the tour of the Empire State building. It changed my perspective literally. In that it was dizzying to see how small we are in the world, but exhilarating at the same time to see all the tiny lives and objects working in unison toward a common goal perhaps unknown to each of the individual parts.  I was working on fractals one day and up popped the Birdseye view of the Empire State building...now I am even smaller!
