This is Oliver, Deborah Jordans "British Shorthair", or as we call them in Ireland, "Silver Tabby".

Silver tabbys tend to be great hunters and Oliver is no exception.

In this, my first watercolour, I have tried to capture the way the distinctive markings work as camoflage and help Oliver blend into the background on his deadly night missions.

Deborah is painting Blaze, our spoilt black fluffy cat, and the detail image shows Blaze looking at the picture of her pet-swap partner ! It also shows how the finished work is framed and mounted.
