This is Catherine McClay's adorable Beagle, Nonny for the 2006 Pet Portrait swap. I had a very nice detailed photo to work from that had a good composition so I didn't have to do much cropping or adjusting to it. For the eyes and nose I added a gloss varnish to make them look wet. What a great dog to paint!!
