I visited Paris in January 2007. The weather was mild and this night we went for a stroll on the hill above the Moulin Rouge. I took a digital video in front of the famous Chez la Mere Catherine restaurant while it was raining. I took a single frame from the video and using a stylus I digitally painted over it in Photoshop Elements 8.0. I wanted to capture the feel of an abstract painting and the grainy video frame helped me produce an interesting result.
