Exhibit Entries accepted from 7/1/2009 to 7/31/2009.
Prospectus
Marching Bands, Floats, Beauty Queens, Grand Marshals and a Shriner or two - it must be a parade! Technically speaking, parades are celebratory events used to mark special occasions. Some parades are displays of might and intimidation, but most parades are joyous and fun. They are music and colour and cheering and flags and banners and waving and clapping. We do so love a parade.
Parades is not a media specific show. Anything goes - from paintings to automata, as long as it relates to the parade theme. Be creative and have fun.
We strongly recommend all artists include a statement with each entry, as statements can enhance the experience for the online viewer. If the relevance of an entry to the show's theme is not readily apparent, we will request that the artist supply a short statement of explanation. We also encourage you to include detail shots of your entries. This will allow the viewer to full appreciate your work as small details can be lost in an online environment.
