A garden hose, whose function is to transport water, bring life to plants and animals, and give new life to dirty objects, should be nothing more than a garden hose. We use it to water our flowerbeds. We fill watering troughs with it. We wash our cars with the overlooked garden hose.
One day, to one woman, a garden hose promised escape. It whispered promises to end her misery. She used her perfect green garden hose to hang herself, thus washing herself out of this existence. She was never an ordinary woman, but I saw her through different eyes after she committed suicide. Even her death was not ordinary. She forever changed my life in how I view other souls, and in a macabre way, how I view the now sinister garden hose.
