This is a mug shot of Herman's cousin Harvey and his dog Shirley at the Poughkeepsie police station in the fall of 1982. Harvey crazy-glued Shirley to his chin and boarded a bus at Port Authority headed to Montreal in an attempt to escape the law after an attempt to rob a lingerie store in Manhattan. Harvey, known as a clean shaver, employed Shirley as his beard but was spotted because the dog could not keep her eyes closed. And although the police in Poughkeepsie had heard of people with eyes in the backs of their heads, none had heard of any with eyes in his beard.
