When I started painting this piece, I had in mind just to blend some yellows and reds together....then I decided to be a little more creative , so I took pieces of waxed paper and pressed the paper against the oil paint on the canvas then pulled it away! To my surprise...the painting became a beautiful lake with autumn trees!
