My mother, bless her, is still alive and with us today, unfortunately we live miles apart. So in tribute to her I took what memories I have of her and put them to paper. Not only is my mother my mentor, my utmost admired soul, but best friend. This blanket is one that has been passed down from generation to generation, she always said, "Never dry your good laundry in the dryer, always hang in the fresh outdoors, the two cardinals were a reminder of her powerful hand and patience and love of them. This painting hangs in my mothers home for now, but will someday be returned to me for my Mothers memory and keepsake.
