We have 3 shagbark hickory nut tree, which dump mega nuts in our yard every 3 years. It makes the squirrels happy, but raking them is quite a chore. I was experimenting with the macro feature of my new Sony F828 and liked the contrast between the leathery hull of the nut and the stone. My husband likes the way the nut is emerging from the hull.
