Digital painting from macro photo of bumble bee atop a cone flower in my garden. A little cloning to bring out the bee, that's all.
The bumble bee frequents my perennial garden from the time the chives bloom, and enjoy buzzing about the daisies, astilbes, salvia and three o'clocks as well as the roses. They are not too difficult to photograph with a macro lens and don't seem to be bothered by the camera either.
