Mid May the desert floor in Arizona was in full bloom almost every Cactus was blooming and full of the usual Bees, small Wasps and a variety of other pollenators, this naturally attracts some preditors as well
Shot hand held in the Desert south of Cottonwood Arizona, May 14th 2009, with a Nikon D-100 and Macro 300mm lens opened up and a fairly high shutter speed to get a shallow depth of field.
