When my boys were still a home we would have several bonfires a year. Usually to celebrate one of their birthdays. The sight was out past trees on a lonely knoll. This is important, as the high point after food and gifts were the ghost stories I would tell. To keep up with the constant demand for something new I happened upon the book" The Magic of Abramerlin" . Many of the stories I later told were of fools who tried to use it with very frightening results. The boys and their friends usually made it home before sunrise, event though it was supposed to be a camping party. "Magnus" Is the last of my Halloween group of pictures that I will be making this fall. I was Inspired to do this work for the lifting the vale show. This show reminded me of the book or grimoires of Abra-Merlin. This book is the foundation of many of the modern magical practices today. This grimoires is considered a most dangerous tool to event the practiced magician hands. It describes how to summon and command simple to complex demons. The summoned demon spirits can foretell future, past or present events, find treasure or lost items. Outside of their deviation abilities some can bring you lost books or bring plagues, smite foes or turn on you for not having the right words of power or symbols of protection. Most of the time it is like swatting a fly with a poisonous live snake. Sure you can do it but why?
