I remember a day, over 27 yrs ago now, when I was staying at a friends cottage for 2 weeks right after I graduated from college. I spent the free time painting, outside and often down of the shoreline of Lake Michigan. I was 30 years old, driven, and anxious. Sleep deprived was my natural state. One day I was taking a break and just gazing at the waves hitting the sand and swirling it into patterns of waves and sitting there in silence I realized that I had actually relaxed the first time ever in my adult life. I was drawing my first breath in nirvana. I sounds strange I know 30 yrs old and just now learning to breathe, but I had never experienced that type of peace before. I like to say I stayed that way, I didn't, but having the memory is enough to draw me back till I breathe again. That way that day...Paradise
