I've been called a "meat-and-potatoes-kind-of gal" but this is a recipe for meat and other types of carbos:
Home-made Hot Sausage (with beer and sauerkraut)
1 lb. ground beef
1 lb. ground pork
1 cup water
2 tablespoon salt
1 t. pepper
1/2 t. garlic powder
1/2 t. parsley
1 t. crushed red pepper
Mix ingredients and refrigerate overnight. Stuff into pork sausage casings. Pan fry or grill until done.
Lay over warmed sauerkraut on plate.
Add a garnish for some color
Crack open a good ale and pour into a cold, frosty mug.
Better, yet...go down to the pub and have someone else prepare this for you!
