Batik Pears O1 is an original batik on paper by M Baldwin, c2006. This original is SOLD to a private collector. This simple composition of two pears is a tribute to the simple pleasures in life, good food, the love of family, and for a home sweet home feeling. The pears were actually a gift from my mom who had received a basket of red pears for the holiday season. She was so proud of them and wanted to share them with me. She is sweet to share her good fortune and love. I love making pear honey.. so yummy on biscuits. To make pear honey, grate the fresh pears and stew in a slow simmer pots, add crushed pineapple and sugar to taste and let the whole mixture cook down. Serve warm or cold. Really Good! The painting was completed in watercolor using a batik technique on bristol board paper. Enjoy !! ~ Marcia.
